Can you fix my flawed story?

There are good things about this story -- the incorporations of romance and horror elements over a science-fiction framework, the symbolic recurrence of the sailboat, the attention you plan to place on characterization, the visual potential -- but you asked about problems. Well, is this the whole plot? I ask because I don't see a clear climax, conflict resolution, and maybe denoument. I'm also not perfectly clear why the CEO killed himself. I'd say you need to keep writing because it's not done.
