Can we "Spend our way to Wealth"?

Well, bombing our way to wealth hasn't worked, giving tax cuts to the ultra rich hasn't worked, deregulating the markets haven't worked so I guess we should try putting people to work rebuilding infrastructure to make it more efficient and developing cutting edge technology gets us there.
