Is Alfred Hitch overrated?

Today's kids have much better alternatives. He may be good in his time but those days the standard of movies was too bad. Today his movies look very silly and boring. Can he match up to the modern cinema? Was he capable of making good movies that are made today? Are his movies on par with GI Joe, Grudge, Terminator Salvation, Final Destination, Harry Potter series, Music & Lyrics and other modern day movies?
