Want to get into Mountain Biking? any advice and tips?

any Dept store bike Including Target is JUNK! sure they will work for a short time but if you are going to spend any amount of money then make it at least $400 to 500 and get a bike that is supported by a service plan and at least has parts on it that can be replaced rather than returning the entire bike ( thats the only option you have with dept store junk) The Forge bike is ok but it is still junk but if that is what you want go ahead....Look at this one:a href="http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=25926&subcategory_ID=3050" rel="nofollow"http://www.performancebike.com/shop/prof…/a for an entry level or slightly better that can handle what you throw at it (to a degree) or this one:a href="http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=24794&subcategory_ID=3050" rel="nofollow"http://www.performancebike.com/shop/prof…/a which is premium quality and is equipped with the best on the market and can take ALL that you throw at it and it is backed up 100% front to back. A good bike does NOT have a name after a vehicle and is in NO WAY licensed by the vehicle sponsor and at least the vehicles of the same name are worthy of the name. Go ahead and compare what I have shown you to those bike shaped objects at Target. If you want to shop at target, do so, they have nice towels and clothes and pots and pans and so on... bike shops sell only one thing, shall I name it?! I am living proof that you get what you pay for and I will not settle for less than perfect. Besides that you want to fix that Forge bike? take it to that night stocker at Target who built it and see just how good he really is NOT - go to a bike shop, any one not just Performance but any one and see just how much more you get for your $!
