What is the Southern Baptist perspective on Catholicism?

I also am a convert but was never a Southern Baptist. But do have some as good friends that are.And some think the Catholic Church is a Devils Church and others think there ok but just misguided. I would say that as far as beliefs in General that the vast majority of Baptist will not agree on what is correct ways of belief, as their not united in there beliefs. To give you a example years ago i lived in a part of FT.Worth Texas known as white settlement. We all attended this Baptist Church and one particular Sunday evening service they were voting to keep there current Pastor or replace him with a new younger one. To make a long story short the congregation divided in voting between the two with the old Pastor literally cussing out those who voted against him and they all ended up in a free for all, and the FT.Worth Police had to come and quiet it all down.Being young and all we all stood outside the Church and watched the cursing and shouting and hymnals being thrown and were laughing our rear ends off.
